Madison's Secrets

Madison is thrilled her cousin Corrie is moving home, but her emerging psychic abilities warn that something's wrong with the beach house Cor's parents just bought.
Once the home of a famous painter, the house has "peculiarities." At first its weirdly painted walls and secret rooms are an exciting adventure. Even when Madi and Cor hear whispery voices and see ghostly shadows, they're uneasy, but not afraid--until they accidentally discover the mysterious tunnels.
Madi also has a secret--a glowing chest she found in her Gram's attic, that somehow followed her home. Now it suddenly appears, revealing disturbing truths and visions about Cor's house, the tunnels and her little brother, Todd's "imaginary" friend.
When Todd suddenly goes missing, the girls must uncover the truth to save him.
The first in the Light-Bearer's series, Madison's Secrets is an eerie, fun mystery. Are you ready to seek the truth?
Madison and the Lost Treasure
When Gram took Corrie and me to a paranormal supply shop to get new cell phones, it was our first clue that our lives were about to change. That, and the wizards.
The second was Holly. We met her at our summer "mystical arts" classes and, right away, we knew she was trouble. Holly cut out every day, to search for a priceless treasure that her grandfather had lost at the school years ago. With her crinkled-up old map, she moved around campus like a ghost, and had even found a creepy place called "the haunted hallway," when we finally located her. Holly was hunting alright, inside one of the haunted murals!
By the time we figured out the truth about Holly's grandfather and the dark magic that guarded his secret hiding place, we were all in deep trouble. Holly was searching for the treasure in a forbidden crypt, and everyone, including the Light-bearers, was out looking for her. I was alone, sitting inside that awful mural, clutching the final clue and watching in horror as, suddenly, the whole illusion started bursting apart, like a sugar crush in a Candy Crush game! And I was stuck in the game...

Madison and the Bridges of Owatteru

When Corrie threw up all over Jazzy, the new girl in our mystical arts class, we had no idea that she lived all alone or that her whole family was missing. We were too busy to make a new friend - Cor was really sick and my Dad had just announced that we were selling our forever house and moving into the seriously haunted mansion he'd half fixed up. Besides, we were about to start out weekend trainings at The Greece Academy's actual campus!
Who knew that Jazzy was invited to go there too? Or why? She had no powers and no training. All she cared about was finding her family. She was spooked at Greene, seeing "ghosts" everywhere; she even messed with the mystical training tools and nearly got lost inside a magical trap!
Meanwhile, a real ghost howled through our dorms late at night and there were scary rumblings about other dark secrets on campus. We got so caught up in helping Jazzy find her family and in trying to banish the wailing ghost with our mystical friends that we never saw the real menace approaching - until it was too late.
The Miracle Wreath
All Dee wanted was an eye-catching Christmas display to impress Joe’s mother, so she’d stop insisting that he marry a “nice Italian girl”. And she almost had it…
Just when everything seems perfect, a huge snowstorm drops an icy image of the “Madonna and Child” out of the night sky, right into her Christmas wreath! Dee’s heart’s in her throat… It has to be a prank! But, there’s no sign that anyone’s even been near.
Before she can blink, someone’s put it up on Facebook and crowds are streaming into their yard. Now, Dee’s mom is whispering “miracle”, Joe’s mom is muttering “sacrilege”, Joe just wants the darn thing to melt, and Dee can feel trouble rumbling toward them like a freight train…
