I am the writer behind the captivating Light-bearer series, including 'Madison's Secrets' and its sequels. I have a passion for storytelling, especially fast-paced adventure books that teens and tweens seem to love. And yep, I'm a Patriots fan!
My Backstory
First, I was born in a small town in Massachusetts that back then was chiefly a French community … and where my
Great-grandmother was the local Fortune Teller! Her predictions were spot-on so often that most of our relatives
decided that they must be psychic, too! So many tried hard to be, but in the end, the only person who “knew things”
was Memère. Like everyone else, I was awed by her – until the winter that I was seven and nearly died , and I met my
Guardian Angel… That very night I started getting better. From that moment on, I knew where true power came from!
Growing up, I couldn’t get enough of books, and it wasn’t long before I was writing my own stories. Years later, I wrote a
continuing story for my pre-teen niece, who was struggling to read. What began as a thrilling ghost story, quickly grew
into hundreds of pages featuring strong girl heroes. Girls with ‘special’ talents… and deeply caring families to guide
them. My niece gobbled them up and became a great reader! And I was hooked. From these early adventures,
Madison, her friends, and the whole Light-bearer series was born.
Today I live with my husband Greg, in one of those small Connecticut neighborhoods where everyone actually knows
each other; our kids and in-law kids live close enough to see each other all the time, which is a good thing, because our
two grandsons and grand-dog bring tremendous joy to our lives. And, of course the grandsons and our nieces and their
kids are a huge help in keeping my characters real!
